A months-long investigation has resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old Connecticut man in the death of his 4-month-old daughter.
Kyle Vigneault has been charged with first degree manslaughter, risk of injury, and cruelty to persons, WCIT reported.
Norwalk Police say Vigneault called 911 on June 11, 2024, and said his infant daughter was choking on formula. He said he had done CPR for several minutes.
First responders took the littler girl to Norwalk Hospital, where she died.
An autopsy revealed the baby died from complications of medical and nutritional neglect, with necrotizing appendicitis and chronic malnutrition contributing factors. The medical examiner determined the girl’s death to be a homicide.
Vigneault was arrested this week and ordered held on a $125,000 bond, according to WFSB. He is due in court on February 27.
