Liputan6.com, Jakarta Slipknot turntablist Sid Wilson is officially engaged to Kelly Osbourne after a memorable proposal during a landmark moment for the Osbourne family.
Wilson, 48, proposed to Osbourne, 40, backstage at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, during Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert with Black Sabbath on July 5, 2025.
The proposal unfolded in front of Kelly’s parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, as well as her brother Jack and a room full of friends and family.
In a video shared on social media, Wilson began by telling Kelly, “You know I love you more than anything in the world,” only to be humorously interrupted by Ozzy, who quipped, “F— off, you’re not marrying my daughter.” Undeterred, Wilson continued, “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?” Kelly, visibly surprised, nodded yes and embraced Wilson as the room erupted in applause.
The couple’s relationship began in early 2022 after more than two decades of friendship, having first met in 1999 when Slipknot joined Ozzfest, the touring festival founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. They welcomed a son, Sidney, later in 2022, further strengthening their bond.
The engagement was celebrated widely by fans and family, marking a joyful chapter for both the Osbourne and Slipknot communities. The proposal capped off an emotional night that also saw Ozzy Osbourne bid farewell to the stage, making it a truly historic occasion for the family and the world of rock music.
