Netflix’s ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ dominates the Hot 100 chart with multiple entries in the top 10, Billboard chart staff discuss the staying power of Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song” and Morgan Wallen on the chart regardless of songs, and Justin Bieber making a comeback with “Daises.”
Tetris Kelly: Welcome to the Hot 100 Show, I’m Tetris and we’re gonna be counting down the top 10 on the chart, and we have the best people to do it with our experts from Billboard’s charts team, along with Adam who will be out on the streets talking to fans. He’s a creator that loves the charts almost as much as I do. All that’s left to do is to run it down. In the top 10 for the first time is “Soda Pop.”
Adam Barrera: So we’re having a huge moment with K-pop on the Hot 100 right now, specifically with fictional K-pop, “KPop Demon Hunters.” Saja Boys have just entered the top 10.
Fan: I really like the “Soda Pop” song, yeah it’s just so catchy.
Adam Barrera: How many times have you watched it?
Fan: Too many. I’m probably the top 1% of people watching on Netflix with my kids.
Adam Barrera: Well that’s why I love it too, because I feel like any demographic could really enjoy that movie and relate to it. It’s beautiful.
Fan: I’ve personally been listening to the songs nonstop, they’re really good.
Adam Barrera: Have you heard of the Saja Boys?
Fan: I have not. What is that?
Tetris Kelly: Up to 9 is Shaboozey.
Adam Barrera: I’m sure you’ve heard of “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Shaboozey.
Fan: That’s still on?
