The third season of To Your Eternity will be here in October, and today at Anime NYC it was revealed that the new season’s opening theme song will be performed by Perfume.
The girl band has also done theme songs for Beyblade X, Chi’s Sweet Adventure, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita in the Secret Gadgets Museum, Eiga Sumikko Gurashi: Tsugihagi Kōjō no Fushigi na Ko, Fastening Days, and Sushi Police.
The announcement did not come with the song’s title, or a trailer where we can listen to a clip of it.
Crunchyroll, which is streaming the first two seasons and will also stream the third, just unveiled the upcoming documentary The Roots of To Your Eternity. The documentary, which includes interviews with manga creator Yoshitoki Oima and people behind the anime adaptation, will start streaming on August 29. Crunchyroll will be in charge of streaming it everywhere except for Japan.
The third season is being made at Drive and STUDIO MASSKET, with Sōta Yokote, who has a background as an assistant director and episode director for anime like Bye Bye, Earth and Komi Can’t Communicate, helming the project as the full director.
The original manga is released in America by Kodansha USA Publishing, which gave this description for the plot:
